VHS tape screening- Untamed Heart- October 5, 2011

Here is your invite to the second ever VHS tape screening at our house this coming Wednesday. The movie, by request, is Untamed Heart, my all-time favorite Marisa Tomei movie. It also stars the essential 80s misfit, Christian Slater.

Happily, the trailer doesn't give away Christian Slater's secret, although most of you probably already know what it is. Please keep in mind: while the trailer provides a letterbox view, in keeping with VHS tradition our film will be presented in outdated-TV fullscreen format.

You'll notice I've invited significantly less people, 9 to be exact. This is to give you the opportunity to invite others. But please keep in mind our living room can probably only comfortably hold 8-10 people. Beyond that we'll have to really squeeze, which I'm fine with.

Also I've added Leann (whazzup!) to the invite list because it dawned on me after our conversation about The Legend of Billie Jean that she is perfectly suited to a VHS tape screening of this type. Sadly, after some research, I found that, even on VHS, The Legend of Billie Jean is really expensive. ($14) Perhaps we can take up a collection if people feel so inclined.

By the way, to all who showed up for the first screening, thanks! It was the most fun I've ever had in my entire life.
